Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only child born to Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, who was a manufacturer of tool and dies, as well as a former worker in a factory. She was born on 10 March 1958in Meadville Pennsylvania. Stone has three brothers: Michael, Kelly, and Patrick. Stone was thought to be gifted academically as a child and began in second grade at the age of five. She was a graduate of Saegertown High School located in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. A winner of Miss Crawford County, she took part in Miss Pennsylvania. Miss Pennsylvania Beauty Pageant. Stone moved to New Jersey with her aunt in 1977, to pursue a modeling career after signing with the Ford Modeling Agency within a month. In Europe, she was able to spend a whole year living in Milano as well as Paris. But, Stone became disillusioned with modeling and fashion within Europe she decided to pursue acting while living there. Woody Allen's movie, "Stardust Memories", got mixed praise in her 20s.
