Awkwafina An American singer and actress began with humorous rap tracks that dealt with issues of sexuality and race. Her fame grew into Hollywood when she dropped several rap songs. The actress was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents within Forest Hills Queens her first experience with music came via trumpet. Alongside classical music and jazz, she started to study hip-hop during her teens. When she was in college, she concentrated on her studies and majored both in women's study as well as journalism. While she was for a brief amount of time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also available. Following graduation, she decided to concentrate on music. Her track My Vag which was her response to Mickey Avalons My Dick, became a popular viral sensation on the Internet and later appeared on her debut album Yellow Ranger. On the album, there also were viral songs like Queef (body-positive) as well as NYC Bitche$. The song was specifically linked to The Awkwafinas Guide to NYC, her 2015 travel guide. With musician and author as her credentials, she began looking for an actor for a third venture. Apart from the early television shows such as Girl Code and Tawk, she has also been featured in films like Neighbors2Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018 she was able to land major roles in a variety of high-profile films like Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. She released the EP, in Fina We Trust in June in the same year.
